About En L'AirDance Bags
En L'air is a french ballet term meaning "in the air." The bags are fun as well as practical!
They dry out your dance shoes after each use, helping to preserve the life of your shoes and keep them fresh! Each bag is handmade, so they are all very unique! The best part is they are designed and named after a character or title from a ballet. Make your purchase based on your favorite ballet, your favorite color, or even choose a bag based on something you will be dancing in soon. My hope is that if you don't know the ballet, you would get curious and find out more!
En L'Air Dance Bags stretch to hold a few pairs of shoes as well as some clothing if desired. (Please keep in mind that smaller items should be kept in our Inner Mesh Pouch !!) Of course you can use your imagination and use En L'Air Dance Bags for other purposes. My passion is ballet, but the bags are useful for all other types of dance shoes and I even have some friends who use them as a purse or a market bag!
Enjoy your bag, be creative and find your unique style!
Meet Kathleen, the Designer
Originally from the Philadelphia area, I trained since a young age in dance. Ballet quickly became my favorite dance form because of the passion and love my ballet teacher, Olga Kresin, shared with me. I decided to go to college before auditioning for a professional career. I attended Mercyhurst University and graduated magna cum laude in 2001 with a dance major and concentration in arts administration. After graduating I had the amazing opportunity to spend about 12 years dancing ballet professionally for several companies including the Louisville Ballet, Charleston Ballet Theatre, Channel Islands Ballet and Lake Erie Ballet. After a wonderful, "dream come true" career, I now enjoy teaching and sharing my passion for ballet with my students. I think that it is incredibly important to pass the tradition to the next generation, whether they become dancers or just find love for the arts! In my free time, I found that I enjoy crocheting. I decided to combine the two, ballet and crochet, to create a fun and unique line of handmade bags!
